Helloooooo, It's been awhile since we have spoken to you all... I hope you're over the festive season and the big fat man in the red suit was kind to you. Other then eating heaps & a couple of coldies here and there, the last few months have seen us play a couple of festivals and lots of gigs which we love, and writing plenty of new tracks.. We are please to announce that we are only days away from hitting the road again to spread some Aussie Rockin Blues & Roots around the East Coast, and we cannot wait. We are very happy to be kicking the tour off and playing at the Australian Blues Festival in Goulburn. We will be heading down to Goulburn on Thursday for the Blues Chain awards as we have been nominated for "NEW TALENT OF THE YEAR" for the song "Soldiers". So keep your fingers crossed and lets hope we pick up an award. If you're attending the Goulburn Blues Festival, make sure you come and check out our shows and come up and have a chat. I believe there are still tickets available so please come along it should be fun. For ticketing info please visit their web-site: http://www.australianbluesfestival.com.au/ After Goulburn Blues Festival we are playing a heap of shows all around Victoria and have some amazing bands supporting us, (The Benson Campain, Daily Waters & Chris Cavill). We would love to see you all so make sure you come and check out a show or two.. Trust me it will be fun. The News gets better...... Hot off the press we are very excited to announce that we will be playing the Cool Summer Festival at Mt Hotham Vic, Apollo Bay Festival and The East Coast Blues & Roots Festival. This will be the second year in a row that we play the East Coast Blues & Roots Festival. Last year we won a band comp to get a spot so we are very excited to get the call up and to play our home town festival. We will be playing on Monday 24th March so make sure you get a ticket as they sell out fast. Anyway we could rave on for hours, so we will be sending updates through out the tour and we have some exciting things in the pipeline to announce very soon.. So stay tuned. Looking forward to see you all at a show soon. Put Ya Thongs On. |

Awesome night at the North Coast Entertainment Industry Association (NCEIA) Dolphin Awards on Tuesday night with us Winning Award for Best Blues song for "Get Up (Raise Your Head)". With nerves pretty well contained we fired up the packed house at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay playing Get up & Speedticket with Guy Harp joining us on harp. Then time for a chill, a few songs from Brittle, and then the announcement... So awesome getting the Dolphin... Met lots of great people... had great food... watched some great acts. Gotta love the North Coast... Well done NCEIA. Huge Thankyou to everyone involved in the song & to all at NCEIA. marshall xoxox |

It was all pretty exciting when last week Marshall & The FRO were given an ‘Artist Spotlight’ by Triplejunearthed… Well actually it was a heap better than exciting… It was truly awesome. Go to the Triple J Unearthed home page and check it out… It’s a mighty fine sight... just click on this link. http://www.triplejunearthed.com/Default We are one of the three artists spotlighted. While you’re there have another PLAY (or 2, or 3, or 327) to Marshall & The Fro songs… If you haven’t already why not REGISTER with Triple J Unearthed & then you can ADD Marshall & The Fro songs TO YOUR PLAYLIST, DOWNLOAD and REVIEW the three songs that are available there. It’d be pretty cool to get the band to top of the Roots chart and top 10 in the overall chart so keep on hitting that play button… But it would surely be cooler to play at HOMEBAKE… marshall xoxox |

It's getting closer and closer. The much anticipated album has been sent to Tony Mantz, or a.k.a. 'Jack the Bear' from Deluxe Mastering, to be put through the final stage and mastered.
Jack the Bear has been mastering for most of his working life in the music industry, which began back in 1981. Jack the Bear has travelled extensively around the world, meeting and learning from some of the best in the business, and was trained in the art of vinyl mastering by Rick Essig at Frankford Wayne Mastering Labs, NYC.
This was the same studio that that produced the likes of Tom Coyne and Herb Powers. His recently-built facility is located in Brunswick Victoria, just off Sydney Rd, and is a stone's throw from downtown Melbourne. Jack the bear is highly respected within the music community and has worked with the best bands around the world like - Silverchair, The Living End, John Butler Trio, Jeff Lang, Xavier Rudd & You Am I to name a few.
